- Students will take their winter NWEA testing
- Students will continue to learn about how to be nonfiction readers, focusing on:
- How to compare and contrast similar nonfiction texts
- Author's purpose
- Text structure
- How to read with questions in mind
- How to talk about your subject like an expert (by using domain specific vocabulary!)
- Students will continue studying their root words, looking this month at the roots "spec" and "dict"
- Students will head to the library to learn about how to use databases to continue their research
