The end of the month of March begins the final major unit of study. "Building a Foundation for Global Studies" serves to prepare students for global studies in grade 7. Students will learn to interpret a range of sources of geographical information, including maps and diagrams. Students will develop a knowledge about the World and their locality. Students will use World maps and atlases to identify countries, continents, and oceans. Students will also be introduced to primary and secondary sources and learn to verify their credibility. Students will learn to use online resources and library databases.
