English Language Arts Curriculum Documents

The Plymouth Schools use a Balanced Literacy Approach. (Click here for Plymouth's Balanced Literacy Framework). For spring 2015-2016, K-2 Teachers will pilot the Lucy Calkin's Reading Workshop units before implementing them fully in 2016-2017. A new word study program called Fundations will be implemented in grades K and 1 in 16-17 and in grade 2 in 17-18.

Plymouth is a Columbia Reading and Writing Project affiliated district. In grades K-5, we use the Lucy Calkin's Writing Units of Study (click here for information).
